The Bulletin of the National Association of School Social Workers was published from 1924 – 1955 when the NASSW merged with six other professional groups to form the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). For more info, click here. |

The School Social Work Journal was started by the Illinois Association of School Social Workers. It is currently published by Lyceum Books in Chicago, IL. It has two issues per year the largest circulation of all the school social work journals. |

Social Work in Education was begun by the National Association of Social Workers in 1978. The title and focus of the journal was changed to Children & Schools in 2000. It is published four times per year. |

The School Social Work Quarterly was begun by Robert Constable in 1979 but was only published for one year (4 issues). |

The Iowa Journal of School Social Work was begun by Jim McCullagh in 1986 and featured articles written by practitioners. It merged with the School Social Work Journal in 2005 when Jim Raines was the managing editor of the IL journal. |
